A Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe

Virgin of Guadalupe, Patroness of unborn children, we implore your intercession for every child at risk of abortion.

Help expectant parents to welcome from God the priceless gift of their child’s life. Console parents who have lost that gift through abortion, and lead them to forgiveness and healing through the Divine Mercy of your Son. Teach us to cherish and to care for family and friends until God calls them home. Help us never to see others as burdens. Guide our public officials to defend each and every human life through just laws.

Inspire us all to bring our faith into public life, to speak for those who have no voice. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who is Love and Mercy itself. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Newry Hospice Collection:  Our yearly collection takes place Sat 12^th Oct and Sun 13^th Oct after Holy Communion at all Masses.

NOTICE: We will be having a period of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on each of the following Saturdays – 21st, 28th September, 5th, 12th and 19th October from 3 – 4pm in St Patrick’s Church, Cullyhanna. During these times of prayer, we will be praying for the protection of the unborn. We respectfully ask our MLAs to return to work in Stormont to prevent a law coming into effect which will remove the rights of the unborn up to 28 weeks in the womb of their mother.

Mass in Cathedral on 12^th October to mark 80 years of Apostolic Work in Armagh: To celebrate the 80th year of the work of Apostolic Workers in the Archdiocese of Armagh, Archbishop Eamon Martin will celebrate a special Mass of Thanksgiving in St Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday 12th October at 1pm. The needs of the Missions are still great and they range from water, food, medicines, education, transport, Churches, Sacred Items, Altar Linens, Vestments etc. All are invited to join as we celebrate this special occasion.
