St. Vincent de Paul Society Appeal – 2020
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) charity is a Christian voluntary organisation, working with people experiencing poverty and disadvantage. Inspired by our principal founder, Frederic Ozanam, and our patron, St. Vincent de Paul, we seek to respond to the call every Christian receives to bring the love of Christ to those in need: “I was hungry and you gave me food” (Matthew 25).
SVP assistance is offered in a spirit of support and friendship by volunteers from all walks of life and all of our visits are dealt with in a completely confidential and non-judgemental manner.
The Society respects the dignity of those who contact us, offering assistance and advice when sought, maintaining their dignity while assisting them towards long-term self-sufficiency in a relationship of friendship, trust and confidentiality.
The annual Christmas Appeal cannot take place in the usual manner this year but we still need your help. If you are in a position to financially support us then please give your donation, in a sealed envelope marked St Vincent de Paul Society, to the stewards attending masses on the weekend of 6th December 2020 or drop it into the Parochial House, 6 Tullynavall Road, Cullyhanna.
The St Vincent de Paul Society has an active conference in our parish and anyone needing help should contact the Parochial House in Cullyhanna – 028 30861235.
Many thanks for your ongoing assistance.
