Re-Opening of Churches

With regard to the re-opening of churches for public masses I will be having a meeting with Stewards / Cleaners / and those willing to sanitise the churches, on the following evenings: –

St Patrick’s Church, Cullyhanna, Monday 22nd March, at 6pm

St Oliver’s Church, Dorsey, Tuesday 23rd March at 6pm

St Michael’s Church, Newtownhamilton, Wednesday 24th March at 6pm

Once again, I am depending on your assistance to ensure the churches can be re-opened in line with current health advice.

**************

The numbers of people allowed inside the churches for mass will be restricted as in the past.

**************

The obligation to attend mass on Sundays and Holy Days is still suspended so you need not feel that you have to attend mass in the church.

**************

Palm Sunday – Due to restrictions the parish will not be supplying palm branches so please bring your own branches and they will be blessed during masses.

**************

There will be a Penitential Service followed by individual Confessions on Saturday 27th March in St Patrick’s Church, Cullyhanna, at 12 noon. The Penitential Service will be broadcast On Line and then the camera will be switched off for the individual confessions.

**************

From Friday 26th March – when parishioners are attending Mass in our churches the outside speakers will be switched on.
