The Act-ions of the apostles are recorded to inform us of a fact – Jesus had died – really died – on a cross – and now people really saw him alive! There is no attempt to explain how this happened. The people had seen their friend being placed in a tomb – and yet how could they deny what their own eyes were seeing? Not only did they see him alive after his burial but other strange things were happening. An unexpected large amount of fish were caught and Jesus (not a ghost ) invites his friends for breakfast! We are invited to believe, without explanation, that Jesus is alive and that he invites us to a meal – the Mass. We are also told that as we allow our friendship in Jesus to grow and mature – mighty things can happen !!
